"I guess I am primarily a painter but I also love to sculpt the figure and face. I paint everything....landscape, figures, still-life, portrait and all combined. Each media and subject seems to complement the other. I try to capture stillness and the essential quality of a thing when I paint. But I also use images as symbols and like to see evidence of the brush and the energy of art. At times, I use whatever materials inspire me to quickly express feelings."
