| "As someone infinitely fascinated with the geography of the land around us and how we, as humans, make it our home, I can think of few regions as compelling as the American West. Beginning in 1985, I began to photograph specific aspects of this region in regularly occuring, roughly one week long, solo road trips. This is still how I photograph. The time between trips is spent processing film, editing, printing and preparing for the next journey. The pictures presented here are some of the fruits of these labors." |
